Fashion industry speeding for sustainability

2019.10.27

According to data released in 2017 in the United Kingdom, “less than 1% of material used to produce clothing is recycled into new clothing (*).”
This is nothing but shocking for those involved in the fashion industry.

Realization of a sustainable society is urgent in the modern world. The same goes for the fashion industry, and recycling of clothing started decades ago. However, despite the effort, the recycling rate remains as low as less than 1%.

Maybe, there is no magical solution for addressing this issue, and raising the recycling rate step-by-step is the royal road to the sustainable fashion industry.

With the world-famous brands announcing one after another their goals for 2020 and 2030, there is a growing demand for sustainable materials for textiles, and the fashion industry is speeding the pace of its transformation into a sustainable industry.

Air Flake, while being made from 100% recycled materials, exhibits the same high performance as in the case of using the virgin raw materials.
To have sustainable materials permeate in our everyday lives slowly but surely, Air Flake is committed to make its contribution to achieve a bright future.
